hmmm i cant stop myself to reply to this as i am from philippines though not in cebu...

there are lots of intriguing aspects, for instance the location of its fins.. which seems illogical.. dorsal fins are supposed to help animals like fish and dolphins keep their balance as they move through water.... in this case, as one commented, the merman's 'suppossedly' dorsal fin plus its fins on its head would eventually make the merman swim sideways and in circles... imagining it swim the merman would seem awkward and funny

I am a Filipino and I've been to Cebu but I haven't heard of this. It should make the national news if it were true. But just by looking at the site where it is posted, it is not credible; a movie rental site / entertainment site. So it must be a promotional material to browse the site. The "specimen" is too perfect to be a corpse of a merman.

yeah...it is fake......from the site it is posted and also lyk stated above it would have hit the national news not onli tht it should have hit international news too!

True. If it is a real phenomenon, it must appears in international media mass as an official world news

Unless it is worldwilde conspiracy to conceal the existing of extraterestrials on Earth. Or it could be the remains of once great race of atlantids or something like that. :wink:
