How is it possible ecologically to see some prairie species and some pioneers within the eastern deciduous forest biome?

If you're referring to 2nd level consumer, it is a heterotroph in the second trophic level, meaning it consumes organisms that feed on the producers or autotrophs.

About your second question:
You must know:
(1) What species are available in prairie?
(2) What is pioneer species?
(3) What's the characteristics of flora and fauna of eastern deciduous forest?

Then you will be able to connect those three points together to enswer your question 8)
