genetic engineering... eat cellulose like starchNow when we have genetic engineering and its many applications I was wondering what if a human could hydrolyze b-1,4 glycosidic bonds of cellulose. I mean we could eat cellulose like starch.Cool? Just insert the gene and voila! No hungry peoples(well and diets...
Hmm... it might work... inserting the gene into he Lieberkuhn glands in the small intestine.. However, at least in my contry, this is illegal
