Steroids

There was a bodybuilder 6 years. He got paralysed, from an unfortunate car accident. He injected steroids into his lower spine. Eventually he was back to normal in the gym. How could steroids do this?

no, steroids don't regenerate nerves

Well, as presented by Sleep Paralysis, all paralyses are not permanent. Maybe it was just a fluke?

It depends on the cause of the paralysis. most types can regenerate and movement regained

Neurons can regenerate. But only in perypheral nervous system and very slowly. but axon regeneration can happen.
