Cellular Respiration/Photosynthesis Analogies

Hi. Well I was recently assigned a project to come up with an analogy for either cellular respiration or photosynthesis ans present it to the class in a story, cartoon, or play. I'm just having so much trouble coming up with an analogy for either and was hoping some of you had ideas. This example was provided::


"Santa’s workshop has a problem this year. Not enough presents have been made and Santa’s sack is empty. Fortunately, you have at home an enormous trunk (glucose) full of presents (electrons from Hydrogen). You have a problem though. If you try to send all the presents in the trunk to Santa at once (direct oxidation of glucose), the trunk would be too heavy and the elf van would break down with a fiery explosion.

Fortunately, the junior Christmas elves (NAD+ and FAD) are hanging about with very little to do, so you give each of them one present (Hydrogen) at a time to deliver to the workshop (electron transport chain in the mitochondria). The elves carry the presents to the Christmas workshop. In the workshop, the junior elves give their presents to more senior elves who are standing in a line. They pass the presents from hand to hand until they get to Santa (Oxygen) who accepts them happily and puts them in his sack. For your efforts, the workshop, gives you a Christmas bonus to use any way you like (energy in the form of ATP)."


So if anyone has any ideas it will be greatly appreciated.

What about something with moving trucks, or needing to get a food supply somewhere?

I know, not very creative, but hopefully it'll help a little.
