Re: Stomach bloating and weight gain
I have had the same problems. I do notice that the bloating subsides greatly when I eliminate sodium (salt) from my diet.... entirely. This was discovered by "process of elimination".
My bloating was so severe, I felt it hard to breathe and also looked pregnant (although I have never been).
I would go to sleep, bloated....wake up not bloated, and as the day progressed, the bloating just became more severe.
After these experiences, I went to a nutritionalist, who told me to eat simply first week (continue to eat the same thing every day), and then the second week, I would introduce a food (preferably soluble fiber). This might be something you could also try.
Today, I had a sonohysteogram, since I had irregular menstrual cycles, which indicated that I had uteran polyps.
I am thinking that this might have caused severe bloating (since we do bloat naturally during our menstrual cycles), maybe having a growth such as polyps increases chances of bloating?
Does not hurt to get it checked.
