I am nearly 18 years old, and a relatively short and small built person weighing only 48-49kg. To me being a healthy thin weight was something that is important to me because it makes me feel good about myself after spending my entire childhood being bullied about my weight.
I have been diagnose with Fructose & Lactose intolerance, Egg Allergy & Coeliac's Disease. Therefore my bloating cannot be a reaction due to sugar intake or for that matter wheat intake. I am constinatly on laxatives, as without them I would become severly constipated (this is due to my intolerances and allergies)
In 2010 I lost 23 kg (when I reached 48kg) & I felt absolutely fantastic - I was eating right and doing exercise every day.
About 8 months after losing all my weight I started putting on weight again to become 56kg. I can no longer fit into any of my clothes, and I feel so self concious. I hadn't changed anything in regards to my diet or exercise. I was burning more calories than what I was taking in.
I went to the doctors & I was told that I have less than a 1kg of fat on my stomach, so I was left feeling confused about why my stomach was the size of a basketball. I was told that it was due to abdominal gas and that was it. My test results came back that everything was normal. No problems with my thyroid.
Every time I eat or drink anything, no matter how small it is, I feel like I have eaten a basket ball. It is very saddening. I get no support from my parents about it either because they jsut don't seem to get it. It has pushed me to the point where I would rather be Anorexic that the weight I am. And I know the severe effects Anorexia can bring & I know how bad it is and how selfish it is for me to say something like that, but it's getting to the point where I just don't care about the side effect.
I have tried everything to get rid of my stomach - stomach toning exercises, no carbohydrates, everything. But nothing is working and it's really taking a toll on my mental health.
I just want it to go away.
If you eat too much "good" diet you can also gain weight, pigs eats vegetables and they are so fat. I don't think excessives exercise will help you. If you are not some kind of alien you will loose weight when you will start to eat less for 2-3 months.
Cushing Syndrom could be a problem, secondary or primary.
OMG, I have been hunting and hunting for others that are experiencing the same symptoms I have been going through.
This past summer of 2012 I started getting the "Blown Up" stomach after I ate. I was getting frustrated with it because I am only 5 1 1/2 and have never weighted over 100 lbs. Well I started gaining weight and I had to buy larger pants etc. I went to my GP doctor and he said if you think I am going to say anything about your weight your crazy you need to gain weight and left it at that. Ive had my appendix out, I have no gallbladder (out two years ago) and have had a complete Hysterectomy since I was 28, now 48. I had my gallbladder removed a couple of year ago because it was only working 15%.
The weekend before Thanksgiving I was experiencing not only the "blown up" stomach but massive pain. I laid in bed for 2 days. My husband insisted that he take me to the emergency room and they did a CT scan and told me that the bottom of my stomach was closing and they admitted me into the hospital. They gave me pain meds and nausea meds, that was on a Sat evening. On Monday they did an Upper GI on me and said they did not find anything but a hernia so they kept me in the hospital because I was unable to eat without getting severely nauseated and in pain, I begged them to just send me home. I went home and the pain has only gotten worse along with the swollen stomach and nausea. At first the pain started in the lower right side of my stomach. Now the pain starts just under my right rib cage then radiates down in a backwards "C" then back to the same spot that always causes the most pain. I've had every test done that they could think and still cannot figure out what is wrong. Ive been back in the hospital due to the massive pain and nausea. They said I have Celiac Disease, so I have been on a gluten free diet for almost two weeks and I have not noticed any change. I have been off work since before Thanksgiving. The pain gets worse when I eat and start moving about. If I don't eat and don't move about and don't drink anything it doesn't get to bad. I've tried to drink Boost drinks to keep my energy somewhat up but it makes me swell and get in pain so I am at a loss.
I am now being referred to Duke University to a specialist, I hope that they get it scheduled really soon because I cannot take this anymore. I've gained 15 lbs in 3 months.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need answers and don't know what else to do. I have read a lot of the posts and I don't want to wait for years for some doctor to practice medicine on me, I want someone that knows what they are dealing with and can give me definite answers. I do a lot of research and have found a few things but nothing exactly to what is going on.

Hi friends, I am pissed of this problem and confidence, workout everything is lost from my life.
As soon as i start going to gym and lift some weights , this problems starts. Bloated stomach, followed by constipation, null urge to eat food, headache lost stamina, increased heart beat and in extreme nose bleeding.
When i stop workout for few days things start getting back to normal. but gymming is my life..how can i stay so unfit. HELP!!!
I've read most of the comments and finally feel relieved it's not just me! I am 17 years old and this has been bothering me since last year. Since the summer I have put 1 stone on. I know we've had Christmas and I've had a holiday slipped in there too but I just don't understand. I bloat after anything I eat/drink and no one seems to understand. I do exercise 5-6 times a week and try to have the healthiest diet possible but sort of relax at weekends! I eat wheat and gluten free foods but still experiencing an extremely uncomfortable amount of bloating and the pain isn't getting any better. I have an appointment with my local gp next week. I just wanted to know if any of you could shine some light to what it may be! Just want to be able to eat normally along with being healthy and bloat free!!!!
