Does snoring in babies and childen evetually affect their IQ

I bumped into an article one day claiming that snoring is a disorder that reduces childen's mental potential as they grow older.Is there any scintific truth to that?Is snoring a disorder? or is there any disorder or disposion to disorder that may arise due to snoring?Is there therapy to reduce or stop snoring when one sleeps?
