Have you guy heard of the Bio Sphere? My girlfriend is a turbo chrisitian and believes everything in the bible... I on the other hand believe some of it, only if there's proof. Any way she says that the people who lived to be like 987 years old were that age because there was a sort of sphere of water suspended in the sky by gravity of the moon and sun that blocked a lot of the UV rays and helped them live a lot longer....
I'm not an avid reader of the Bible, but I don't remember anything about a sphere of water being suspended in the air. Also, I don't think that it's possible for the moon to hold liquid water in the air by gravity, much less a sphere of it, but I'm not a physicist so I won't focus on that.
Less UV rays would probably help a person to live longer (or at least protect them from having their lives cut short by genetic decay from radiation). But that alone wouldn't add 900 years to their lives. In fact, I don't think that the body can persist for that long under any circumstances, as either the heart gives out or the spine degrades a lot even in the best of circumstances. Also, the bio sphere was an experiment in a self-sustaining enclosure (I think in the 1970's) and it didn't work. I've never heard the sphere of water in the sky theory before, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it. I'm not sure that this is the right forum either, but it's a difficult question to categorize I guess.
Well I donot think that aging occurs due to UV rays I heard that the recent discovery is that aging occurs due to oxygen molecules that demolish the weaker cells in a human body. And I think this can be true as all anaerobic organisms have potential immortality.I accept that I hate religion and I also have read about many people who lived for many years in the bible but I donot accept any part of genesis where these stories are written.I call these stories cause there is no evidence for adam and eve.

And how would people in biblical time keep telomere from shortening to prevent cell aging for duplication?
Take it from an avid Bible-reader, that water-in-the-sky stuff is nowhere in the Bible. If she really believes the Bible, why does she believe that nonsense that isn't in it? When read correctly, the Bible agrees with science, it doesn't oppose it.

With no offense to your girlfriend, but this is kinda silly. Humans can't live more than 200 genetically. Even with no UV rays at all..

Never mind that the moon's gravity is nowhere near strong enough to trap water in the atmosphere, or else it would never rain. And it's not about "it might not have been in the Bible"; it wasn't. There's no might, only fact.

Does you girlfriend have three toes, a hump on her back, slurred speech, and/or eat through a straw? If so, dump that idiot! Are you kidding me?
