Here's an excellent article I read a while back on the Equine Influenza being transmitted to Canines. It's a big problem here in the USA right now because the race tracks house both dogs and horses.

I know it's not Avian/Human influenza...but it's a perfect example of documented influenza spreading from one species to another....confirmed with laboratory diagnostics and also including both a controlled study and retrospective study.
