a) sporophyte is haploid b) the stamen is the male portion of the flower c) the carpel is the female portion of the flower d) the life cycle of a flowering plant is termed alternation e) none of the above i know for sure b and c are true, d im not sure cause the termed is alternation of generations not only alternation, and a sporophyte is a diploid generation of the alternation of generations and it produces haploid spores.... im confuse which one is false,...
It sounds like you answered it yourself. The sporophyte is diploid, and produces haploid spores. That means that the sporophyte must be diploid (as you stated), and so "sporophyte is haploid" would be false. It's the spores that are haploid, not the sporophyte.
