Pears often has brown spots on them.
What causes them?

On the pear skin.
Im not talking about normal oxidation when the fruit turns brown when exposed long enough to air.

Yeah i was refering to the skin. Isn't it possible for the skin to turn brown at certain parts resulting in the spots?

Hmm interesting topic. I think i could make a histological preparation for that pear skin, compare the brown area with the normal one. However I need to check when I can do that aww my schedule is full :cry: It is in my waiting list then ;)
