i hope somebody can help me?

i am on my work on plasmid extraction.
i wanna know the chemical reaction (equation) or something like that of the reaction everytime one solution is added. (eg. reaction when SDS is added)
if possible, it is better if someone can give me ways to find animation of these reactions.

As far as I know, nobody really cares about the real equations. And they are probably not balanced or anything. (just looking at different protocols you see that concentrations of reagents often varies, without much consequences). Now what is each reagent doing is something that can be explained, but on a more qualitative manner.

Like SDS is a strong detergent that will lyse celll walls. etc...

Yes an animation would be helpful but I haven't seen any video of this nature. Chemical reactions are important but not as important as the actual principles behind effective results. Note however, that there are different protocols used in plasmid isolation. I have isolated plasmids without using SDS, sometimes I have to substitute when there are no supplies available.

What I mean to say is understanding the principles behind each step is essential in plasmid isolation specially in explaining negative results.
