phytohormonesWhat are the basic function of the phytohormones auxin and gibberellin.?
shal;l be glad to receive them in details with links. tell me........
auxin- the principal auxin in higher plant is IAA
some of its physiological effects are A) promotes cell elongation in cell and coleoptiles B) promotes cell division in stem but inhibits growth in lateral buds c) promotes formation of lateral and adventitious roots d) regulate fruit development e) delay onset of leaf abscission gibberellins a) regulate stem elongation b) enhances bolting c)promotes growth of dormant bud d) induces maleness in flower e) stimulate grwoth setting you can read any book on plant physiology ( i reccomentd taiz and zaiger).. or any botany book or jas search in the net for detail
