Asexual Reproduction

Hey i need help here..
can someone tell me why homo sapiens never adapted to asexual reproduction even with its many advantages and all..? thanks :D

Do you have a method for us to reproduce asexually? Maybe mitosis? :lol:
And sexual reproduction has many advantages.

haha i know it's impossible for homo sapiens to actually reproduce asexually but the disadvantages of sexual reproduction such as the difficulty in finding mates, long development time of embryo, useful genetic combinations being broken down, lesser offspring produced, requirement for high production of gametes to occur... are so many..why haven't humans evolve to carry out asexual reproduction? i mean bacteria from what i see, has lived a long time through this method of reproduction. -clueless-

Asexual reproduction in larger organisms, especially vertebrates, is inefficient. It leads to no genetic variability except in the case of random mutations.
The evolutionary advantage of sexual reproduction is variation in the gene pool due to crossing over.
Micro-organisms can reproduce asexually because of their high fecundity. The random mutations that occur keep their genes variable.
What did the parasitic Candiru fish say when it finally found a host? - - "Urethra!!"
