Can you explain FISH for me?Its Fluroescence in situ Hybridization... I am not sure exactly what it entails. Thanks
FISH is when you attach a flourescent marker to a sequence of DNA complementary to the sequence on the target DNA. This then allows you to visualize where the sequence is on the chromatid using a light microscope (with UV attachment since the marker flouresces best under UV)
