freckles and pimplesHey all,
i've a query. how is that girls, and also some boys get pimples and freckles only during puberty ages? why shouldn't pimples be squeezed? Thanx in advance. From, VeenaandNivyah
you get pimples during puberty because during this time hormon levels are up. these hormones cause all glands to intensiy their secretion, including sebum secreting glands.
If the sebum galnd's canal gets clogged then a pimple appears. You shouldn't squeeze it because it can get infected "As a biologist, I firmly believe that when you're dead, you're dead. Except for what you live behind in history. That's the only afterlife" - J. Craig Venter
Freckles are an entirely different matter.
Melanin under the skin is in concentrated patches and so when the skin is exposed to sunlight it freckles. Children have more sensative skin and freckle more readily. They also remain a long time and take much longer to fade than regular skin pigmentation. Red heads for example do not have an even distribution in the skin and tend not to tan but freckle instead. It is thought those who freckle evolved in colder climates and therefore the need for protection from the sun was not as important. Note to self: Keep taking those dried green frog pills! Tempus fugit, don't ya think?
Me either...a lot of oil, and I've been thinking to use the oil for motorcycle fuel..
sebum glands (in puber period) secretes more oil because the abnormality of hormone equilibrium state..sometimes, the oil duct can be clooged so the oil have a hard time to go out...since then, it's a nice living place for some bacteria ( that's why you oftenly found white liquid after you squeeze the pimples..actually that's the collection of bacteria and phagocyte's dead body). Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
So that means they are simply stuck in there, and can't spread to any other parts of the body? "The roots of education is bitter, but the fruit is sweet" Aristotle
They actually can spread, but just think...the first place they arrived has a plenty of food and in order to spread, you have to face granulocytes....which do you prefer??
If me, as a bacteria, I prefer the first one.. Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
