I'm sorry, Baikuza. I don't know very much about it, but I do know that they are considered to be pretty smart. I wonder about the connection between their intelligence and their ability to grasp things with their tentacles. Maybe that's is the key, just like the human thumb.

I also don't eat mammals for similar reasons: I'd rather eat only the stupid animals.

Eventually I may be limited to sea cucumbers, which have no nervous system at all...

I read an article in Discover about this (a year ago, maybe?). There was an incident at an aquarium which it mentioned - the floor kept getting wet for no explanable reason, it would be wet when they came in in the morning and the staff couldn't figure out why. They eventually figured out it was an octopus which had managed to get out of its tank, into another, and steal food. It would return to its tank, so no one ever knew. That was a great article, I wonder if I can find it online.
