How is it stored and where? I have heard that there are many storage places can anyone elucidate on this further?

The anatomic correlation of memory is still a mistery. Most agree that the paleocortex(mostly the hippocampus), the SRAA, the hypothalamus and the temporal lobe...

Am I guessing right that for the different sections of the brain you mentioned there are different kinds of memory storage e.g audio, visual?
If the answer to that is in the affirmative then expound on it a little i am curious

these are operations that involve the whole brain.
Dispite this, i read in a book that the temporal lobe is responsable for audio memory, and in another book for visual memory
