Fasting and bloodsugar

Would fasting(for about 12 hours) make the blood sugar value to raise slower than normally? And if so, why that be the case?
My brain tells me the opposite but a study we've made in school could support it...

When you eat food your body is flooded with glucose, and so insulin is produced to keep the levels relatively constant. It will peak, however, after eating food, especially if that food is rich in sugars or carbohydrates.

If you fast your body will produce glucose still from your reserves - providing you are healthy of course - and so your glucose levels will not fluctuate too much. Of course if you then eat a large meal after fasting your body may take some time to compensate for this and so the levels may get higher.

I can't imagine off the top of my head why it would make your blood sugar level rise more slowly unless you fasted so long that your digestive system was significantly reduced in efficacy.

First, after 12 hour starving, the glucose is really droping, while ketone bodies rise. Further, it could have something to do with the regulations, but it's been long time since I had something to do with these, so I cannot tell exactly.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

After a meal, there is increase in the blood sugar level (glucose), which is regulated by Insulin secretion. But during fasting, when there is no food directly provided to the body to get it converted to glucose , blood sugar level rises slowly than normal.
