Is there a way to detect 8-oxoG in Drosophila tissue?

Postby searchecho » Tue Oct 29, 2013 9:41 pm

I am suspecting one of my mutants have increased oxidative DNA damage. I checked and found one of the common signal people used to detect this damage is 8-oxoguandine generation. I am thinking to use antibody against 8-oxoG to stain my tissue, but most of the paper I found so far are performed in mouse. Does anyone every use the same antibody for Drosophila 8-oxoG IHC? Thanks a lot!
