A function yes but no "purpose" that enlists intent and objective. Do you really think a decision was made by someone/something to the point "I think we need eyes on these animals - let's have them"? They didnt suddenly pop into being - unless you believe in some form of intelligent design,

But let's tart at the basics - do you agree that "pubes" and eyes are the product of evolution?
