So the assignment is to create a metaphor comparing a cell to something. An example is "a cell is like a city" The neucleous is the city hall, and so on. I need another good metaphor to use, any ideas?

A cell is like a city. Cant you just say a cell is a complex structure, like a frame for a house and is eukaryotic and therefore contains the nucleus, which is the wooden planks that make the structure.
