EcologyOn a recent excursion as part of a biology assignment I collected samples of canal water. The following are the organisms i found:
Freshwater Shrimp Freshwater hoglouse Mayfly Nymph Pond Snail Ramshorn Snail Biting Midget Larva Leech Fish Louse Identifying them was the easy prt the prblem I'm having is finding the phylum to which the each belong. Please Help Sinead
Note the physical characteristics of each phylum and apply to the organisms. For example snails and their shells should provide clues.

The only problem is I have never studied biology before until so now my knowledge on phyla is limited.
a simple search at gizoogle.com for "phyla characteristics" would net you a couple of links
Here's one to get started on http://science.nhmccd.edu/biol/animal.html Living one day at a time;

Also try using Google to search for [ "organism name" phylum ]. I found the phylum of the Mayfly Nymph in seconds this way.
