p53 questionPHF20 is a transcription factor that seems to be unique to the production of p53.
(see http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 082534.htm ). The wrap53 gene is produces mRNA that is antisense to p53 mRNA(see http:// http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 072646.htm) How could each of these two proteins could regulate cellular levels of p53? How could a mutation in both wrap 53 and PHF20 lead to cancer in a cell? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
