sex determination in plants

how does sex determination take place in plants ?
it takes place only in unisexual plants like maize, papaya, etc,right? im a bit confused on this :oops:
according to my text, "there is a different mechanism"what is this mechanism?

I read some of the article. It is good, with lots of examples and good ideas presented very well. Couldn't have written better myself :D
By the way, irene, do you have a special search engine that only searches web pages that have at least 100000000 word in them?
