Small bugs

Hi forum,

I spotted these little critters today and am really curious to know what they are. My best guess is they're plant-related as we have a big garden, but they seem to have travelled and be walking around brick walling.

Huge apologies if it's in the wrong board (or forum!) but I figured you biology experts would have a better chance than most at identifying these little guys.

Someone suggested they could be 'white fibrous lerps' although they don't seem to resemble photos search engines coughed up.
