Which phases of meiosis are different from mitosis?

totaly both are different.meiosis is a reduction division.i mean the chromosome number reduces to half at the end.But in mitosis the chromosome remains the same.

The difference is not on the S phase.
The differences are the meiosis is the reduction of chromosomes number compared parent cell.

In Meiosis Prophase I is different from Prophase in mitosis where there is crossing over occur.

In Metaphase I, the homologous chromosomes are aligned at the equatorial line while metaphase in mitosis not.

In Anaphase I, the homologous chromosomes are separated while sister chromatids are split at centromere in Anaphase of mitosis.
