gene order

how can gene order be determined in linkage problems without calculating the recombinant frequency? i dont really understand how to determine gene order by inspection

can anyone help me out?

Genetic orders are rather complicated. One way to deal with it is the use of morden technology. i think that will be the way

hmm…yeah rather complicated but believe that anyway DNA should be cleaved into fragments by restriction enzymes and then by comparing bands from wild-type and mutant we could determine site of mutation .
The point is to obtain overlapping sites and connect fragments in proper order(use several restriction enzymes).
correct me if I’m wrong….
