Brain Waves in Fetus (measurable brain waves)When does brain wave activity begin in the fetus? I have read that "measurable" brain wave activity begins at 25 weeks, but I found a 1984 article on nih.gov that says it's 8 weeks, which is when the brain and spine are just beginning to develop! nih.gov is a good source, but that article is old.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1375108/ In addition, if you could show me information regarding when the fetus has its own wants or desires, that would be great! Disclaimer: I would not assume that my views on morality are superior to any pregnant woman's, especially now as I'm quite young. However, I do think potential mothers (and fathers) deserve fair arguments about the morality of abortion, especially the young and impressionable.
