How many pollengrains enter the ovary? How many pollen grains enter the ovary during pollination. If only one pollen tube enters, one seed should be formed. But how is it possible to form large nuber of seeds in a single ovary?

As I understand it, a single pollen grain can contain multiple gametes with which many eggs can be pollinated. Most ovaries have more than one egg, so with enough gametes, they can all be fertilized.
