How poison and/or fertilizers affect the roots of garlic
MATERIAL: garlic, chlorine, plant fertilizer, 7 empty jars, needles, water

Procedure
Step A: Mark the 7 jars:
• Bottle 1 = water
• Bottle 2 = chlorine 0,5 ml
• Bottle 3 = chlorine 1,0 ml
• Bottle 4 = chlorine 2,0 ml
• Bottle 5 = plant fertilizer 0,5 ml
• Bottle 6 = plant fertilizer 1,0 ml
• Bottle 7 = plant fertilizer 2,0 ml
Step B: Put in:
• 50 ml water in bottle 1
• 0,5 ml chlorine and 50 ml water in bottle 2
• 1,0 ml chlorine and 50 ml water in bottle 3
• 2,0 ml chlorine och 50 ml water in bottle 4
• 0,5 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 5
• 1,0 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 6
• 1,5 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 7

Step C
Put garlic on top of each bottle, make sure that the roots are still intact.

Step D
Put the bottles on the widnow where there is plenty of light. Measure the lenght of the roots once a week for three weeks. If the volume of water sinks, add more tapwater.

I don't need any detailed answers, just a small reason explaining what what happens and why the roots grow :) Thank you all for your help in advance
