MATERIAL: garlic, chlorine, plant fertilizer, 7 empty jars,needles, water Procedure Step A: Mark the 7 jars: • Bottle 1 = water • Bottle 2 = chlorine 0,5 ml • Bottle 3 = chlorine 1,0 ml • Bottle 4 = chlorine 2,0 ml • Bottle 5 = plant fertilizer 0,5 ml • Bottle 6 = plant fertilizer 1,0 ml • Bottle 7 = plant fertilizer 2,0 ml Step B: Put in: • 50 ml water in bottle 1 • 0,5 ml chlorine and 50 ml water in bottle 2 • 1,0 ml chlorine and 50 ml water in bottle 3 • 2,0 ml chlorine och 50 ml water in bottle 4 • 0,5 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 5 • 1,0 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 6 • 1,5 ml plant fertilizer och 50 ml water in bottle 7 Step C Put garlic on top of each bottle, make sure that the roots are still intact. Step D Put the bottles on the widnow where there is plenty of light. Measure the lenght of the roots once a week for three weeks. If the volume of water sinks, add more tapwater. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't need any detailed answers, just a small reason explaining what what happens and why the roots grow
