Well it is easy: I like bacteria on their petri dishes and playing with them. My E. coli O157:H7 is a pleasure to work with, but I would really hate it in my burger!

What if the thing you both like and not would feel the same? at least both are now even.

name : Shizuka age: 20 education : approximately high school, aiming to get into college. A complicated situation. Location: America, Maryland, near Baltimore like: biology, chemistry, food, cats, fighting games, music (metal in particular), drawing, learning new things, finding new things to like. dislike: presumptuous people, abusive people, shark fin soup. Hobbies: Drawing, studying, video games, cooking.
I would like to make some friends with common interests, I'm rather isolated and no one I know is really interested in biology and such things.

Are you saying people eat shark fin soup? Ewww. Well, if you like Bio, this is the place.
Shark fin soup, That sounds like eating a sheet of 80 grit sandpaper.

Typically chinese. I does not help the survival of endangered species. It is supposed to be very healthy and so on, so it is expensive. The fin is just boiled in the broth, and it is skinned before cooking. Smells very fishy to me, and since I don't like fish, I am not inclined to taste. And the whole endangered species makes it even less likely.

It has no taste, it's like tofu. Unfortunately most asian people(especially Hong Kong) eat based on how rare or expensive something is rather than taste. It's part of flaunting wealth.

Truth I was visiting family in japan when I had that soup at one of the fancier Chinese restaraunts. The most fun places to eat in japan I think are the normal sushi bars with the plates on the conveyer belt. That or the cheapo borderline shack type restaraunts in the alleys that the businessmen go to when they're out of work to eat and drink. Yakitori is awesome =)
