Discussion of everything related to the Theory of Evolution.

On most other science forums on the internet creationists are banned or cannot post on them. Creationism is not science it is supernatualism.
Now don't get me wrong, personally speaking I have deep interests in paranormal and supernatural but I do not confuse these with science, those things are beyond science and we must accept this. As this is a scientific biology forum do we really need all this silly religious creationist talk? People come here to learn science.
And here I am trying to argue that there is a grain of truth in every fairy tale.
As scientists, we need to learn to accept that we do NOT know all the answers to everything. For example, history is written by the winner. So most records of various wars in history are one sided (if not outright fiction). Yet, we treat those records as "true" and history as science...
Yes thats why the 'evolution' myth has been sooo successful. Random mutations are real. Natural selection is real, so the term 'evolution via natural selection' to the lay man is very VERY deceptive. Atheist evangelists (Dawkins et al) use this to their (great) advantage.
Most of the creationists who come here do so because they believe that science has got it wrong. They believe this for a variety of reasons. The most common reason is childhood indoctrination into their beliefs. Once indoctrinated, the extension of rational thought from everyday life to the big questions is difficult and often impossible for them. Some just like being pests, some think they can show us the error of our ways, and I like to think that some, perhaps unconsciously, are having doubts about their beliefs.
Trying to have a rational discussion with irrational and/or closed minds is difficult and often futile, but censorship is never a good thing. I think that creationists should be allowed to come here, but if they refuse to engage in rational discussions, they should first be warned by the moderators and then banned if necessary.
If we can convince a single mind that rational thought is useful beyond how to make money, then we will have done some good.
Some creationists come here believing that the theory of evolution denies God. They are arrogant to believe they know enough to decide. Some evolutionists come here believing that the theory of evolution denies God. They are also arrogant to believe they know enough to decide. Probably no hope for either. The rest, creationists and evolutionists, who come here with an open mind (shouldn't be called "ists", I guess) - well they (and I) might learn something, so they should not be banned.
When you pay for hosting and DNS, you get to decide who can post. That's the beauty of a free society. Some of those who buy webspace allow only creationists to post, and some allow only science-supporters to post. Others allow anyone to post. That is their right.
If arguing with people on the internet helps me understand science, then I will do it. FOR THE CHILDREN.
