Gene knockdown in insect pests?

Postby kabs123 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 2:17 pm

I have read some papers about how gene knockdown in insect pests is being developed so that the populations can be controlled (by silencing genes which are linked to resistance of pesticides). I was wondering how this worked as the gene knockdown is only temporary. Thanks!
