Polypeptide chainwith 21 basic and 15 acidic residues...So if a polypeptide chain of 214 amino acid residues has 21 basic and 15 acidic residues, the protein :
a) is amphipathic b) will be positively charged at neutral pH c) unlikely to be found inside cells because it is too highly charged d) will have no net charge at pH 7 e) would be expected to form 15 ion fairs I think its between b and c but I'm not sure which one. And does amphipathic only apply to polar/non polar, and not acidic/basic, right?
