chromosome mutations and cell division

Postby biologyisgreat » Fri Jul 27, 2012 4:24 pm

I want to ask if chromosome mutations occur in both mitosis and meiosis.
And if a chromosome mutation covers the gene, does this mean that this case is also a gene mutation?
chromosome mutations can be deletion, duplication, inversion or translocation

what do you mean by chromosome mutations? Crossing-over?

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
