Turn Pitt Bulls into English Bull Terriers

I have access to an English Bull Terrier, and a shelter chock full of Pitt Bull Terriers is nearby. Could one manipulate salmonella to bring English Bull Terrier genes into a Pitt Bull Puppy? thus to make them more adoptable? thanks.

Do you know which genes are different? Why do you want to use salmonella for transformation?
