Bacillus subtilis growth conditions

Hello, does anyone know about optimal growth conditions for B. subtilis? I've looked around the literature and seen a lot of different media mentioned, including LB, which I have tried but with mixed results. Can anyone recommend their favourite way of doing this? Thank you!
