Beta Casine

Hi,
I would like acqueous solution of beta casine just purchased by Sigma.
I am a physicist and I cannot handle properly biological elements.
Can someone help in preparation?
can I diluted it in water? or I need a specific solvent?
what precaution do I have to pay attention?

you mean casein, right?
water could work, but some buffer would be probably better for storage

Hello Jack, thank you for your reply.
Yes I mean beta casein...sorry.
I could make diluitions with DI-water (milli Q from clean room) or I have a Phosphate Buffer Solution (PBS) available.
I noted that the casein box is very little...how much quantity can I take to make the mother solution?
Then I don't know if casein is supplied in liquid or powder...

I would bet on powder since that is more stable.
But your provider should give you all the info about status and solubility of the chemical.
