Grasshopper energy and oxygen needs

Grasshoppers hve ineffective open circulatory system if matched to earthworm but grasshopper is much more active, oxygen and energy needs r greater 4 more active animal, how is this able to happen?

^ I tried looking in my text for this answer, but not able to understand anything, cause I thought closed circulatory systems were more advantageous.
