I'm not sure, but in Binary Fission and Mitosis, both the parent and daughter cells are diploid right? Or does it depend on what organism it is?

Binary fission can refer to cell division in bacteria. Bacteria replicate their chromosomes prior to division, but I don't think that state can be called diploid because the chromosomes are identical. Diploid organisms can be carrying different alleles on each pair of sister chromosomes, but this is not the case for a duplicated bacterial chromosome before cell division. Therefore in my opinion your statement is not necessarily true, at least for bacteria.
