Differences between phenotype and genotypeI know this might sound crazy, but I always forget what they mean and always mix them up. What is it? I'm sorry but I'm just new to biology, I try my best in class but I just don't understand anything!
Re: Differences between phenotype and genotypegenotype think gene. this is about what is physically there in your genome. what alleles you have for a particular gene, whether you are heterozygous or homozygous etc.
phenotype is about what can be told from the outside or the products of the gene. e.g. blue eyes, blood type, to less noticeable things on the cellular level such as how some transport protein is configured etc....\ Does that help? M.
