How to measure relative mobility of DNA

Hi, I need to calculate the weight of different fragments of DNA in gel electrophoresis, using a calibration curve. My question is: What do I take as the reference point for the distance traveled by the band? the top, middle or bottom? (red, green, blue line)
Please help.

You would use the blue length because it allows for consistant measurement of all lanes in the gel.
