Protein mass wouldn't increase but percent of protein relative to percent of fats might have begun to increase. Go to elitefts.com and search starvation there for a better and more complete answer regarding starvation.

you lose protein first then glucose stores, and then till the very end fat. The body loves all that fat and sugar but fat more
