Subcellular Fractionation questionYou're going to get 4 fractions when you're doing this
Cytosolic proteins Membrane proteins Nuclear Proteins Cytoskeletal proteins For example in the Qproteome kit it breaks open the plasma membrane but doesn't solubilise it you spin that down the supernatant are the cytosolic proteins but once you've broken the plasma membrane your organelles for example the ER and mitochondria will also be disrupted? Also are mitochondrias free floating within the cell or are they connected via cytoskeletal proteins?
