Any idea what this might be?

This is under 1000x Oil Immersion, taken from some fuzzy looking material that was growing on a plant in an aquatic environment. It appears to have vacuoles, as well as creases on the top and bottom that almost looked like the beginning of furrowing. Any ideas?
