Evolution of Barbellus (Evolutionary Tree)

Postby Ayeshaa » Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:45 am

Hey did this lab in class:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=ca ... AwOJ-OSA1A

it's on pg. 12-14. I thought it was really simple because I just followed fig. 1. But i dont think it's as simple as it seems, and I think I made my evolutionary tree wrong by just following fig. #1. Mine looks really similar to this one I found on net:

http://www.google.ca/imgres?q=barbellus ... 29,r:0,s:0

I don't get how I'm supposed to make this evolutionary tree, any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance =)

Also these are the questions I don't get.

Describe the relationship between the members of ur "family tree"for the genus Barbellus and the information concerning the strata in which each member was found.

Are there any transition forms suggested by ur tree that were not accounted for in the fossils found. describe the transition forms that are suggested by ur family tree.
^my tree seems to be missing links, and this is all i got.
