I'm trying to figure out what effect insulin release after a meal has on lactate levels. In my notes, there's a graph that shows an initial increase in lactate levels followed by a steady decline in response to a meal; I cant figure out where this lactate is coming from (from milk perhaps?) and what's the reason it is declining as time passes..the only thing that comes to mind is that it is being recycled..but then that wouldn't really explain why the slope is decreasing...

You're drinking milk with every food?
The insulin accelerates glycolysis, but probably there is not enough oxygen, so lactate is released.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
